Give Tomorrow A Chance
You don’t have to know what tomorrow will bring. Just give tomorrow a chance.
Our moods and emotions can change, sometimes from one day to the next, or even from one hour to the next. What feels overwhelming right now may not feel the same tomorrow. You don’t have to figure everything out today. If you’re struggling, reach out for help and support. Talk to someone you trust and let them know what you’re going through. You don’t have to carry the difficult moments alone.
If you need something simple to help you through a hard moment, try one of these:
Step outside for a few minutes and get some fresh air.
Move your body, take a short walk, stretch, or exercise.
Call or text someone who makes you feel safe and supported.
Slow down and breathe; take a few deep breaths and focus on the present moment.
Do one comforting thing you enjoy: listen to music, take a warm shower, spend time with a pet, read, or make your favorite drink.
These small actions won’t solve every problem, and they aren’t a replacement for professional support, but sometimes they can help us get through the moment we’re in. If today feels too heavy, please don’t make a permanent decision based on a moment that can change. Ask for help.
