South Florida, Let’s Walk With Purpose: NAMIWalks, October 10
What if giving just a few hours of your Saturday could help someone feel less alone? What if showing up, meeting someone new, or sharing a conversation could remind a person who is struggling that their community cares?
This Saturday, October 10, 2026, you have an opportunity to be part of something meaningful as NAMIWalks brings communities together in Palm Beach at the Eric Call Pavilion at John Prince Parkand and Broward County at Nova University. These events are about more than raising mental health awareness. They are about bringing people together, building connections, honoring those we have lost, and showing individuals and families affected by mental health challenges that they have a community standing beside them.
Mental health challenges affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. Yet many individuals continue to struggle in silence because they fear judgment, discrimination, or being misunderstood. Community events like NAMIWalks help bring these conversations into the open while connecting people with organizations, resources, and others who understand their experiences. They also remind us that supporting mental health is not limited to professionals or organizations. Families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors all have a role in creating communities where people feel comfortable asking for help and receiving support.
In Her Name encourages everyone in South Florida to get involved this Saturday. Invite a friend, bring your family, volunteer, or make a donation if you can. Whether you attend in support of someone living with a mental health condition or in memory of someone you love, your participation matters. Together, we can help build communities where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health and where no one feels they must face their struggles alone.
