Join In Her Name at the Hope Starts Here Community Suicide Prevention Event
We're excited to announce that In Her Name will be a community partner at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Hope Starts Here event in Broward County, Florida, at Nova University on August 1st, 2026. This free educational community event features presentations of 3 of AFSP's signature programs and brings together local organizations, mental health professionals, advocates, and community members to raise awareness, provide education, and connect people with life-saving mental health and suicide prevention resources. Whether you're looking to learn more about supporting a loved one, strengthen your own mental well-being, or simply show your support, this event offers something for everyone. You can also learn how to become a volunteer as an AFSP Programs Presenter.
Stop by the In Her Name table to learn about our mission to promote positive mental health and prevent suicide through education, awareness, and compassion. We'll have free resources, suicide prevention awareness signs (see pic above), grounding kits, mental wellness tools, and information to help individuals and families recognize the warning signs of emotional distress and understand how small acts of kindness and conversation can make a meaningful difference. We believe suicide prevention starts with all of us, and together we can create a community where no one feels alone.
